The "1919 Emily Dress" and "Little Emily"

The "Hankie Dress"

This pattern is complete with all sizes and four different options for trimming your dress. Each dress uses one hankie to complete the design. View A features an assymetrical overlay on the bodice and two pockets on the skirt, each trimmed with the corner of your handkerchief. View B uses a hankie point on the bodice and two more points as small ruffles over each shoulder, the fourth point trims a pocket.

View C overlays the whole bodice front with the handkerchief, and trims the top edge of one pocket. View D is the simplest way to show case your whole hankie, as a sweet little apron with three rows of ribbon trim on the bodice.

Since each handkerchief is unique in size and motif, some consideration should be used as to the best combination of pattern and hankie. View C requires a fairly large handkerchief, especially in the bigger sizes.

The options are endless when it comes to adding ribbons, roses and lace. Don't be limited by my suggestions!
